Join us at the library to make your own beautiful lantern to celebrate the  first day of winter known as the Winter Solstice. In the Northern Hemisphere, this falls on December 21st.  This date is also known as the shortest day of the year or the longest night of the year. Make your own lantern using colored tissue paper, mason jar and battery tealight candle. Registration required. Space is limited. Sign up online. For ages 6 & up.
