Speaker: Dorota Skowronska-Krawczyk, PhD

Assistant Professor, UCSD, Ophthalmology

Studies of vision and aging dramatically improved our understanding of changes occurring in the aging eye, however, we are still in dark when it comes to molecular basis of age-related changes. Dr. Skowronska-Krawczyk will talk about her most recent work focused on understanding the mechanism of aging as a component of glaucoma. She will also show the data from her laboratory suggesting first potential therapy for some glaucoma patients. The talk will be accompanied by art from Project Visions: http://www.the-visions.com.
