Join us for the Pacific Beach Library's monthly book discussion!  On February 9th we'll discuss Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr.

Description: Set in Constantinople in the fifteenth century, in a small town in present-day Idaho, and on an interstellar ship decades from now, Anthony Doerr's gorgeous third novel is a triumph of imagination and compassion, a soaring story about children on the cusp of adulthood in worlds in peril, who find resilience, hope, and a book. In Cloud Cuckoo Land, Doerr has created a magnificent tapestry of times and places that reflects our vast interconnectedness with other species, with each other, with those who lived before us, and with those who will be here after we're gone.

Please send an email to  cwainwright@sandiego.gov if you would like to virtually join our discussion via Zoom.  Readers also have the option of attending the meeting in-person, in the Pacific Beach Library's Community Room.

If you'd like to check out a print copy of the book, they are available 1 month before each discussion at the Pacific Beach Library's Circulation Desk.  Please call 858-581-9934 x0 before coming to pick it up so that staff may confirm availability.
