STEAM Explorers Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.

Ever wonder what it takes to make a video game? In this 5-day program, students will learn the basics of video game development and design using the Scratch programming language to build their own games. Software and equipment provided.

Around the World in Storytime!
Bilingual Storytime – Saturdays (Except the First Saturday of the Month)

Bring the littles and come for a fun dance party and maybe a storytime!  We will dance to fun songs, use egg shakers, and dance with bubbles!

Join Ms. Isabel and Mr. Jeff for stories read in both Spanish and English, with a fun and simple craft to follow.

Practice your reading skills with a fluffy friend! Participants learn how to be safe around animals as they improve their reading skills.

LEGO Free Play: Imagine and build with LEGO! Keep your engineering and problem-solving skills sharp using the library's LEGO bricks.

We are excited to offer 3D Printing in person! Stop by the La Jolla/Riford Library's IDEA Lab during open lab hours with your .STL file and staff will be happy to assist you.

Would you like to explore your family’s history? This club is for those who want to do genealogy research in a supportive research environment, connecting with others who love learning, and sharing their genealogy research journey.

Want to learn how to juggle? Already know how to juggle and looking to pass clubs with others?  Don't have equipment to practice? Come to Juggling Club, an all inclusive meetup where we practice tossing things in the air and at each other.

Beginner friendly computer-aided design (CAD) projects such as keychains and simple geometric models. 3D printing available during class. Open to all school aged children. No previous experience necessary. No reservations needed.

Stretch your imagination and discover the artist within you've always known existed! Create fabulous crafts! In this program, get detailed instructions on how to make a craft you'll be able to take home!

Party Puppet Show is a lively variety show that uses puppets, comedy & music that encourages children to be creative and use their imaginations. Come and laugh, sing, and dance along! 

Join us for fun and engaging STEM presentations and projects. Elementary and middle school students will work on a variety of science and math activities.

Join us for drop-in craft Tuesdays. Kids of all ages can make a craft to take with them. All supplies provided. No reservations needed.
