Nathan Hubbard's The Green Mansions

Nathan Hubbard is a percussionist and composer living in San Diego California. The Green Mansions is his music tribute to Hawaiian vibraphone legend Arthur Lyman, famous for his hit Yellow Bird and many others. The Green Mansions uses traditional Hawaiian instruments and modern technology to recreate all your favorites from the Lyman catalog. You will hear traditional Hawaiian songs, jazz tunes, older folk songs from the Pacific rim as well as a few choice classics from other exotica pioneers Les Baxter and Martin Denny.
He'll be joined by Nicole Olsson on violin, Villa Musica's Community Programs Manager that enjoys partnering with many SD Public Library staff to bring accessible music education to public libraries.
