A “Story Vine” was historically used in some African cultures for traditional storytellers to identify their art/occupation, to serve as a visual “menu” of the story repertoire of the storyteller, and to offer the listeners a chance to select a story. In more modern times, the concept has been adapted in many situations for both public and personal reminders of important experiences, goals, achievements, life stories, etc.
Join Master Storyteller, Marilyn McPhie, and community members to create your own story vine from array of small objects and charms to add to your vine. All basic materials will be supplied, but participants are invited to bring any small objects they would like to add to personalize their own story vine.
** This program is strictly for adults ages 18 and older. Pre-registration is required. **
