Program Description

Event Details

This week we will be making Ojo de Dios in honor of Latine Heritage Month.

Kids will learn how to weave Ojos de Dios (god’s eyes), once made as ritual objects by the Huichol indigenous people of Mexico. The Huichol symbolism of the god’s eyes is primarily associated with the prayers for their children – prayers for a good long life, protection and to ensure abundant crops.

Join us on the Patio outside the children's room for arts and crafts after school every Wednesday at 2pm.

Activities are designed for school age children.  Young kids may require parent assistance.
