Event Details

Midday Music presents Wesley Fowler for the next performance in this Friday lunch concert series. Fowler specializes in contemporary percussion and is a doctoral student at the University of California studying with Steve Schick. Now settled in San Diego, he is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He previously served as the Director of Music at Austin Preparatory School in Reading, MA, overseeing their instrumental and vocal music program, and as the manager of Performance Technology at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

“Midday Music” is a free, lunchtime concert series held in collaboration with the San Diego Public Library and Art of Elan, taking place on select Fridays throughout the year in the Shiley Special Events Suite on the top floor of the library, where concertgoers are invited to bring their lunch and enjoy carefully curated chamber music along with gorgeous views of the city. This brand-new series and partnership is dedicated to James R. Dawe, a longtime arts advocate in San Diego and supporter of public libraries.
