Graphic Tales: Stories of Community and Belonging

Step into a world where the magic of storytelling meets the colorful pages of graphic novels!

Words Alive in partnership with San Diego Public Library is thrilled to invite you on an incredible literary adventure where the exciting pictures and awesome stories of graphic novels come together to make us feel connected. These visual masterpieces show us what it means to belong in a community of readers who share the same love for these books.

Over 6 sessions, students will learn all about graphic novels and work together to create their own graphic novel that will be published by Words Alive! The 7th and final session is a Mini Comic-Con event where the finished comics will be on display.

Registration is required. Recommended for ages 11-16.
