Program Description

Event Details

San Diego Public Library presents local authors Christina M. Kelley, Ana Laura Martinez and Ree Obaña as they discuss their experiences during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic and the uprisings against police brutality across the United States.  Learn about this collective chorus of resistance captured in the theme-based collection, Reclaiming Our Stories: In the Time of the Pandemic and Uprising.

Attendees will receive a copy of Reclaiming Our Stories: In the Time of the Pandemic and Uprising, while supplies last, as part of our Books for Good Trouble: Social Justice Dialogues programming series. These dialogs encourage discussion of local community concerns and connects books, creators and encourages positive changes in our neighborhoods.

The Books for Good Trouble programming series is supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
