The presentation will explore dementia and caregiver burden, current research, importance of diverse participation and tips on maintaining brain health. The discussion will cover how diverse groups are heavily underrepresented in clinical trials, (especially those related to dementia) and how caregivers are impacted financially and mentally.

About our Presenter, Esteban Gonzalez, MS:
Esteban joined Sharp Neurocognitive Research Center in 2022. He has more than a decade of experience working in the health care industry. He has previously worked as a mental health therapist in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient centers and substance use rehab centers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling. Esteban is a native San Diegan from the South Bay area.
