Event Details

Join us for a Japanese storytelling tradition called kamishibai (Kami = paper; shibai = theatre). 

A storyteller stands behind a little wooden theatre and reveals a series of illustrations as he narrates a story, doing all the characters’ voices and the many sound effects.

Presented by Write Out Loud. Part of The Rebellious Miss Breed program series (to learn more, please visit https://www.sandiego.gov/missbreed).

A special craft activity will follow the kamishibai storytelling performance.
