Program Description

Event Details

Coding Camp students will learn the fundamentals of object-oriented programming in this first week (July 9-July 13), including the basics of Java and Eclipse IDE.

During week two (July 16-20), students will continue their training in Java, but will cover more advanced topics such as graphics, and interfaces. These skills will be used to create a local multiplayer game that incorporates hit detection, object managers, and user input. (Be sure to sign up for week 2 also!)

  • These programs are intended for incoming 6th graders or older. Younger students with previous coding experience may also attend.
  • Registration for each week of Coding Camp is required; space is limited.
  • To register for this week of Coding Camp, go to the Monday of this week to find the registration form.
  • Each student must bring their own laptop or Mac to Coding Camp every day. Free wifi is available in the library.
