Celebrate Black History Month with our weekly Create It! Program,

Feb 13:  Create a Freedom Quilt Square.   Learn how quilt squares were used to communicate along the Underground Railroad to Freedom.  Patterns you will learn about this week are:  Crossroads; Flying Geese; and Bow Tie.

Feb 20:  Freedom Quilt Mosaic with Toshwerks.  Participants will have the opportunity to create a meaningful art project inspired by Freedom Quilts from the 1800’s.

Feb 27:  Learn all about Kente Cloths and weave your own special design out of construction paper.

 

Join us every Tuesday from 5-5:30pm for Create! At the Library, featuring a new craft each week. This program is for youth aged 5-11, that will develop fine motor skills and creativity.
