From Shakespeare to Sondheim and Disney to Debussy, we welcome you to join Harp & Friends on a journey across genres. We wil explore undelying themes of love, nature, and feeling through contrasting works of literature and music. Though style and form may vary, each work of art attempts to capture the same singular source -- the human experience. This program is comprised of the group's favorite pieces and original compositions, collaboratively woven and presented by harp, flute, piano, and voices.
The group features Stefan Wendel, who studied harp at the Royal Academy of Music in London and performs in the San Diego area, Kristen Kort, principal flute of the San Diego City Ballet Orchestra and Opera NEO, Benjamin Read, who studied classical voice and piano at the Eastman School of Music and is active in the local music and theater community, Daniel Myers, a performance artist who has appeared at the San Diego Repertory Theater and San Diego Opera, and Becca Lauren Myers, a theater artist who has performed at many venues throughout the San Diego area.
