Richard Lederer, PhD, is a San Diego Union-Tribune language columnist, best-selling language author, and former Usage Editor for the Random House Dictionary. He is the author of more than 60 books about language, history, and humor, including his best-selling Anguished English series. Lederer is a founding co-host of the “A Way With Words” broadcast on KPBS. He has been named International Punster of the Year and Toastmasters International’s Golden Gavel winner.
