Program Description

Event Details

In this fascinating class, Navy veteran and local historian Rudy Shappee will explore the final days of the Vietnam War. As the People’s Army of Vietnam surrounded Saigon, thousands of South Vietnamese desperately fled to the U.S.S. Midway. Operation Frequent Wind is a story of fear, hope, and sanctuary for those South Vietnamese fortunate enough to escape Saigon during the final days of the Vietnam War.

This free class is presented by San Diego Oasis.
