Program Description

Event Details

We are currently running an Air Monitoring Program in Barrio Logan and Logan Heights. The program consists of Air Monitor Installation and also home Air Filters for families that suffer from a respiratory illness. We have a few of these installations in the area but have plenty more to do.

With that in mind, our hope is that 1) families interested in Air Monitoring their community can be a part of the program and 2) Families that qualify and are interested in obtaining a FREE air filter for their homes can obtain one.

This work is related to a recent bill (AB 617) that went into effect this year in communities impacted the most by Air Pollution in the state; Barrio Logan/Sherman Heights/Logan Heights is one of those Portside Communities that qualified under the California Air Resource Board. The goal of AB617 is to both Air Monitor and Reduce Carbon Emissions. We as EHC are one of the grantees overseeing the community based aspect of this work.
