Born and raised in Point Loma, bassist Glen Fisher brings his musical talent, world class musicians, and 235 year old bass Mickey to the Point Loma Library. During the evening you will be entertained with Jazz standards and Latin grooves, the musicians effortlessly and playfully mastering intricate harmonies, creating colorful stories with their solos, and then some amusing history of Glen's bass Mickey. Glen Fisher has not only toured the world, performed at some of the most prestigious Jazz Festivals with some of the greatest musicians, but has also dedicated his time to music education, realizing that music needs to be an integral part of young peoples lives. He founded the First Friday Music Club, a 501c3, to enable his passion for bringing the best music education possible to all ages.
