Program Description

Event Details

The Mission Hills-Hillcrest/Knox Branch Library’s Gay Men’s Book Club will read a book with gay themes each month, mostly novels and memoirs, and get together to discuss it. The readings will explore a variety of topics, particularly gay life pre and post-AIDS, gay culture in America, and the history of the LGBTQ+ movement. Literature is an engaging way to learn about our community and culture, individual gay men’s journeys, the progress we’ve made—and the obstacles that still remain. The readings will include a mix of classics and contemporary works. A limited number of books are available for checkout at the library.

Free underground parking is available for 2 hours with Library validation.
