Program Description

Event Details

Join us for this three-part series where we'll explore and create our own graphic novels/comics! We'll discuss the history of graphic novels, the different roles and responsibilities of people who create graphic novels (e.g., authors, illustrators, inkers, colorists, etc.), and then work together to create our own graphic novels. In addition, during our first meeting, we'll meet (via Zoom) graphic novel writer Alexis Castellanos, who will be discussing her book Isla to Island. FREE copies of Isla to Island will be available starting March 11 to all registered participants--come to the Mission Valley Library's front desk for your copy. Registration is required for this free program, which will take place over the course of 3 days: Tuesday-Thursday, April 2-4. (Please register using the calendar event listed on April 2.)
