Event Details

The Health and Wellness fair will bring community partners to the library to dramatically improve access to critical services such as mental health, housing navigation, showers, DMV ID assistance and much more.

This event will have free trainings inside the Neil Morgan Auditorium, a community resource fair in the courtyard, hygeine kits and socks for attendees, while supplies last.

 

SCHEDULE

1 - 4:30 p.m. Community Resource Fair

Featuring agencies offering services and resources from all over San Diego, attendees will be able to meet providers such as:

1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Suicide Prevention QPR Training (Question, Persuade, Refer)

Recognize the warning signs! Members of the general public will learn the basic skills necessary to recognize the signs that someone may be contemplating suicide. Presented by San Diego Community Health Improvement Partners.

 

3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Narcan (Naloxone) Emergency Use Training

Administering naloxone can be live-saving when administered during an opioid overdose. Learn how to properly use it in this workshop. Participants will receive free Narcan upon completion of the training. Presented by the Harm Reduction Coalition of San Diego (HRCSD On Point)
