Event Details

September 22nd marks the birthday of both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, the central characters in J.R.R. Tolkien's classic fantasy books, The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. This date has been widely recognized as Hobbit Day.

Grab your cloak and join Central IDEA Lab to celebrate all things Hobbit!

Enjoy various DIY projects, fun activities, and photo ops.

Projects include:

  • Sewing felt Hobbit doors
  • Dye sublimating Hobbit-feet socks
  • "Elvish" engineering using craft sticks
  • Shire-themed resin bookmarks

Drop in anytime between 1 - 4 p.m. on Friday, September 22nd and Saturday, September 23rd to partake in the Hobbit Day festivities. No reservations required.

All ages welcome. While supplies last.
