Discover why birding is an accessible and enjoyable activity for people of all ages. Learn what makes birds so fascinating while building the skills to identify the species around you. Expert instructors from the San Diego Bird Alliance will lead each session. Classes meet on Tuesday evenings.  Today's class is an introduction to birds and birding. What is birding all about, and how do you get started? Learn the basics of this accessible hobby and discover how birding can happen anywhere, anytime—right where you are.

Session Two:  March 17 @ 6:00 PM  Top 10 Birds to Know in San Diego

Discover some of the most common bird species in San Diego and learn how recognizing these familiar birds can help you build the skills to identify even more.

Session Three:  April 7 @ 6:00 PM  Cool Tools for Birders

Explore digital tools such as eBird, Merlin, and other helpful resources that birders use to identify species, record sightings, and deepen their understanding of the birding world.
