JFS hosts a three-part seminar series on Positive Parenting at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Library. This Program is a preventive, early-intervention program that helps parents find positive solutions to common childhood behavior issues.  Proven strategies are explained to help improve children’s behaviors and reduce caregivers stress and anxiety. In January, Seminar 1 will focus on:

  • Ways to help your child learn.
  • Strategies for carrying out positive discipline.
  • Keeping realistic expectations.
  • Creating workable family routines.
  • The joys and challenges of becoming a parent. 

Seminar 2 on February 24 will focus on raising confident and competent children.  Seminar 3, held on March 24, will discuss raising resilient children.

These workshops are funded by the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.  All classes are FREE. Participants may attend all classes or just one, depending on their needs.
