Event Details

JFS hosts a three-part seminar series on Positive Parenting at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Library. This Program is a preventive, early-intervention program that helps parents find positive solutions to common childhood behavior issues.  Proven strategies are explained to help improve children’s behaviors and reduce caregivers stress and anxiety. In March, Seminar 3 will focus on:

  • Information for parents experiencing difficult economic times.
  • Recognizing and expressing feelings as a family. 
  • Modeling positive thinking for your children.
  • Strategies for dealing with stressful life events. 

Seminar 1 on January 27 will focus on the power of positive parenting.  Seminar 2 on February 24 will focus on raising confident and competent children.

These workshops are funded by the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.  All classes are FREE. Participants may sign up for all classes or just one, depending on thier needs.
