Have you ever wondered how DNA tests are used to predict whether a patient will develop a genetic disease? In this hands-on workshop, participants become medical detectives as we explore how Huntington's disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, is inherited. Participants will construct a family tree and use gel electrophoresis to analyze the results of a molecular genetic test to predict how this disorder is transmitted within a family.
