Event Details

The Friends of the Clairemont Library present a monthly free concert featuring talented local musicians.

　South Indian classical vocalist Devesh Vashishtha has performed concerts in the U.S., Canada, and India. He will present an interactive lecture–demonstration on the history of South Indian classical (Carnatic) music and provide an overview of its intricate melodic and rhythmic patterns and multiple improvisational forms. Devesh will be accompanied on the mridangam by Naveen Basavanhally and on the violin by Roshan Mandayam.
