Program Description

Event Details

In honor of Intergenerational Month, the County of San Diego is introducing an intergenerational cooking class to celebrate the many benefits of relationships between older adults and youth. The class uses cooking to bridge the gap between youth and older adults.

Youth will be paired with older adults to prepare and cook a meal. Both youth and older adults will gain cooking skills and nutrition knowledge. At the end of the class, youth and older adults will get to eat the meal they prepared together. Instructor is bilingual (English/Spanish). This cooking class is for youth ages 6 to 11 years old and adults ages 30 and older.
