Program Description

Event Details

Finest City Improv presents The Improv Project SD (IPSD), an outreach program that brings the principles and practices of improvisation to people beyond the traditional improv comedy theater, focusing on those most in need of more connection, courage, and communication skills.

We are partnering with the City Heights Performance Annex, connected to the City Heights Library, to bring improv classes for teens and young adults to the City Heights neighborhood.

Register for classes at: http://www.finestcityimprov.com/register-for-classes/?pg=event&eid=81050

In this short 6-week course, students will:

  • Increase their confidence and communication skills through play and laughter
  • Learn to apply the principles of improv (Yes! And...) to find more courage and joy in all aspects of life.

Thanks to generous sponsors and donors, this program is made available to all regardless of their ability to pay. Please select your payment option accordingly.

Classes are taught by a team of "JEDIs" from Finest City Improv, performers and teachers trained to facilitate improv classes that improve lives. JEDIs stands for social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion through improv.

This class meets for 6 Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8pm beginning Wednesday, October 12th.
