This Summer's reading theme is Read Beyond the Beaten Path, so we are screening films based on books that take you to far off places. During Tuesdays in June, you can enjoy The Lord of the Rings trilogy on the Pacific Beach Library's big screen. The 2nd installment of the saga based on J.R.R. Tolkien's epic masterpiece is The Two Towers.
Description: In the part second of the Tolkien trilogy, Frodo Baggins and the other members of the Fellowship continue on their sacred quest to destroy the One Ring--but on separate paths. Their destinies lie at two towers--Orthanc Tower in Isengard, where the corrupt wizard Saruman awaits, and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dur, deep within the dark lands of Mordor.
