Program Description

Event Details

Throughout the month of January, drop in anytime during the IDEA Lab's open hours to a make a zine at our Zine Making Station.

A zine (pronounced "zeen") is a DIY (do-it-yourself) booklet or magazine composed of handmade layouts, illustrations, images, or text. From fandoms, to art, to music, to personal memoir—make your zine about anything you'd like! With roots in subcultures and underground movements, zines are a way for marginalized communities and those with niche interests to connect and share ideas and perspectives. Create for yourself or photocopy your zine to share with others!

Materials provided while supplies last. All ages welcome.

Location: IDEA Lab on the 4th floor of Central Library

Open Hours:*

Monday-Saturday, 1:00-5:00pm

*On Monday, January 19th, the IDEA Lab will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
