This Monday, April 25 join us for a Maker Mondays from 3-5pm.  This week we will learn how to create digital art using Autodesk Sketchbook software. And if participants wish they will design their own library card and will have an opportunity to submit their design for the PRIDE 2022 Library Card Contest. 

2022 Library Card Contest

San Diego Public Library needs YOUR help designing our PRIDE 2022 commemorative card! This contest is open to artists of all ages with a design that celebrates LGBTQ PRIDE. Visit a library location offering services for a submission form or print the form below.

Grand prize winner receives a $100 gift card and their design printed on our PRIDE library card! 

Submit to any SDPL location offering services or email scanned copy to LGBTQIALibrary@sandiego.gov

Contest Rules

  1. Contest Runs April 1st - April 30th.
  2. One (1) entry per person.
  3. Artwork must fit within the template.
  4. Design must include keychain card version.
  5. Make it colorful, be creative and have fun!
  6. All submissions are due by April 30th.

Join the Legler Benbough Teen IDEA Lab for Maker Mondays, every Monday from 3-5 pm. Each week the IDEA Lab team will focus on a different design and creativity project and will highlight a piece of awesome technology found within our amazing lab. These programs are free and open to all teens, aged 12- 18. 

The Legler Benbough Teen IDEA Lab is now partially re-opened on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:30 - 8 pm. Masks are required for all visitors. For more information, visit: Sandiego.gov/public-library/idea/mx
