Does reading about new discoveries in science make you wish you could remember more from your high school biology class? Come join the Education Outreach team from the Salk Institute for a fun, informative, and interactive class and see what real DNA looks like, learn about the tools and methods scientists use to make amazing discoveries, understand how genes, genotypes and the epigenome connect together, and learn about the latest research from the Salk. This 2 part course will provide a concise overview of the key concepts of modern biology and give an introduction to the technology and terminology used in biomedical research at institutes like the Salk Institute, one of the premier basic research institutes in the world.
