NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH

There There by Tommy Orange

There There takes place in Oakland California, where a big Powwow is taking place. Twelve individual urban Native Americans are attending the powwow, from all different backgrounds. They have their own challenges, dreams, and family history from the past to deal with as Native Americans. It’s like twelve stories in one book.
