Event Details

Which movie would you like to watch on our big screen while enjoying tasty popcorn?  Please vote in-person at the PB Library, on our branch's Facebook poll, or by sending an email to cwainwright@sandiego.gov.  October's possibilities are:

  • Beetlejuice (1988, PG, 92 minutes)
    Newlyweds are killed suddenly and don’t realize it until a city family moves into their home.  They find an unsavory “bio-exorcist” to get rid of the pests: the new owners.

  • The Haunted Mansion (2003, PG, 88 minutes) 
    Eddie Murphy stars as a real-estate agent who has his family stay in a haunted house.  Based on a Disney theme-park ride. 

  • Hocus Pocus (1993, PG, 95 minutes)
    Three 17th-century witches, hanged for their murderous crimes, are resurrected on Halloween in modern-day Salem by a boy, who must now figure out how to get them back in the ground. 
     
  • A Quiet Place (2018, PG-13, 90 minutes)
    In a post-apocalyptic world, a powerful and evil force threatens to attack a family whenever they make a noise, causing them to plunge into lives of silence, or risk being ambushed at any moment.

We show films on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month.  The film on the 2nd Monday is selected by staff, while the film on the 4th Monday is selected by customers' votes.  Please let us know if there is a film that you'd like to see at the PB Library!
