Join us at the Kensington-Normal Heights Branch Library for a Nowruz Celebration and Persian Music at the park. Norwuz is a New Year celebration celebrated on the first day of Spring in many countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, parts of India, in the US, and more!

Music is by Dornob Collective led by Farhad Bahrami. Farhad has been part of the San Diego music scene since the 1980s. He teaches World Music and Middle East Ensemble at Grossmont College. Dornob's mission is to cross cultural bridges through music. Farhad's other projects include Los Bandaritos (Afro-Arab music from the Persian Gulf), Jazmahalis (Iranian pop / folk / art songs), and the Electric Ud Trio.

Recommended for all ages. Please bring a blanket to sit on the grass if you wish. We hope to see you there!
