Program Description

Event Details

For millennia, people have marveled at bird migration. Where are they going? Why? How do they know how to get there? How far can they travel non-stop? Years of study have taught us a lot about why and how birds migrate, but many mysteries remain. In this illustrated exploration into bird behavior, Philip Pryde will discuss these questions and many more. Philip is a professor emeritus at San Diego State University and a former president of San Diego Audubon Society. He has taught introductory and advanced birding courses in San Diego for over 20 years.
