Program Description

Event Details

Join and enjoy this Free OASIS class at the library, "How to Give a TED Talk” with Marilyn McPhie.

Do you know TED? TED stands Technology, Entertainment, and Design. From the first TED in 1984 to the online talks, free since 2006, these popular short talks --- from famous people like Al Gore and Bill Gate to not-so-famous local folks --- have captured minds and imaginations. Join Marilyn McPhie for an informative presentation on how to get invited to speak at a TED event, what to talk about, how to prepare a talk, how to deliver your talk and how to make the most of the experience.
