Our Shared River, Our Shared Water: Art Exhibit Event

Please join us for a public discussion based on the art exhibit Our Shared River, Our Shared Water, currently on display at the San Ysidro Library, Lloyd de Llamas Community Room.  This exhibition, featuring 7 sculptures made of recycled materials, intends to educate residents of South San Diego on the multiple issues surrounding the Tijuana River Valley in South San Diego City and County.

Oscar Romo, artist, and architect, is an environmental engineer, professor of Urban Studies and Planning at UCSD, watershed coordinator in Los Laureles Canyon, Tijuana, and recipient of the grant "Far South Border North." This grant is a City of San Diego-led regional collaborative that supports artists and cultural practitioners working in service of the health and well-being of communities in San Diego and Imperial counties.  Casa Familiar, serving as the Social Impact Hub Contractor, acts as the vital bridge connecting artists, program goals and communities within Far South Regional Service Area.
