Program Description

Event Details

You may have heard of the LGBTQIIA+ community, but do you know these terms refers to a specific sexual identity? Sexual orientation has many different components and sometimes our attraction, desires, behaviors, and identities do not align. Furthermore, research suggests that sexual orientation may not be as static as we once thought. Join us for a presentation on Sexual Orientation and Sexual Fluidity by the UCSD SWAG (Sexual Wellbeing and Gender) Lab. This talk is part of San Diego Public Library’s Birds and the Bees: An Inclusive Sex Education Series program.

Registration is not required but highly recommended. Copies of How to Understand Your Sexuality: A Practical Guide for Exploring Who You Are will be provided to attendees while supplies last. This event is recommended for guests ages 18 and up.

We’re talking about sex at the San Diego Public Library! A new program series, Birds and the Bees: An Inclusive Sex Education Series, will inform patrons about a variety of sexual health and wellbeing topics including sexual orientation and fluidity, boundaries and consent, and STI prevention.
