Program Description

Event Details

There are often many questions about clinical trials, such as when and where one might be an option. Join us for a chance to explore clinical trials and how they can be a treatment option for some patients with cancer. This could be the first type of treatment received, or one after. You will learn what is involved in a clinical trial including a patient’s journey through various procedures, assessments, and what you might experience during enrollment. A question-and-answer portion will follow the presentation.

Presenters: Danica Griffin, MS, CCRC and Michael Lowry, CCRC

He also worked as a research assistant on multiple other research studies in the fields of cardiology, pulmonology, and infectious diseases (during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic). He got his start in research during his years as an undergraduate psychology student at San Diego State University.
