Program Description

Event Details

Are you or is someone you know affected by depression? While many people end up taking anti-depressant medications to help, this solution does not work for everyone. At this event, attendees can learn from experienced medical professionals about alternative treatments for depression.

They will be discussing the two alternatives for those deemed treatment-resistant. Learn how the use of Ketamine and/or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) can help. Everyone is invited to this informational presentation. Questions are welcome!

=====

Major depressive disorder affects approximately 17.3 million American adults, or about 7.1% of the U.S. population age 18 and older, in a given year. It is the leading cause of disability worldwide and is a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease. First line treatments, mainly anti-depressant medications (SSRI or SNRI), have a success rate of about 60%. This leaves a large group of people to seek alternative approaches.
