Program Description
Event Details
The goal of the San Diego Debate Initiative is to "help instill public speaking and rhetorical skills in high school students without Speech & Debate programs through a weekly mentorship program." This will be the first weekly meeting of the year, where high schoolers from the successful Canyon Crest Academy debate team will come to introduce argument structure, debate formats, and opportunities for competition with the local San Diego Imperial Valley Speech League. All high schoolers interested in improving their public speaking skills or entering Speech and Debate are welcome to drop in and check it out!
