Join us every 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of the month for a captivating evening of adult read-aloud pleasure! Enjoy fiction with interesting characters? How about a spooky mystery? Perhaps you prefer a spicy novella? Sit back and relax with your community as we explore books of all genres! We will begin each read-aloud with a summary of the content covered previously, read for 30 minutes, and finish up with an engaging discussion.

The first tale that will be told is Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. Come listen to this story come to life, a heartfelt but comical novel, about a bank robbery gone wrong and the various captives who are impacted. Humans alike will be able to relate to the characters in this novel as they are all carrying some sort of secret, passion, and pain.

So close your eyes and let the story take you away. Come have fun with us. Group reading stimulates the brain and brings peace to the mind.

If you plan to attend virtually, you will receive a zoom link with your confirmation/reminder email(s).

This hybrid program allows for virtual and in-person attendance. If you plan to attend in-person, click here to register and for more information on visiting the downtown San Diego Central Library.
