Program Description

Event Details

Can service dogs help me with PTSD? TBI? MST? Can they help me feel more secure? Can they help me be self-sufficient again? What even IS a service dog? Join us on October 4th from 2:30 to 4:00pm to learn more about service dogs, if they're right for you, and how you can take that next step.

We will also be joined by PATH's Supportive Services for Veteran Families. Learn more about what valuable services they and other offices can offer to homeless veterans and their families.

Supporting veterans and first responders, the mission of Next Step Service Dogs is to enhance and renew the lives of Veterans and First Responders living with visible and invisible injuries including PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries with the placement of custom trained service dogs.

PATH's Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) office provides temporary financial assistance and short-term case management services to assist homeless veterans and their families with obtaining permanent housing. Case managers assist with locating housing, money management, and referral linkages to a wide range of services. These services include: employment opportunities, income benefits, mental health benefits, medical services and more.
