Join City Ballet of San Diego for "A Book and a Ballerina!" Enjoy listening to a readaloud, hearing from a professional ballerina, and learning some basic dance steps.

Attention High School Teens! Need a dress for prom? The Princess Project San Diego is partnering with the Valencia Park/Malcolm X Library to hand out FREE prom dresses and accessories to participants.

A bilingual storytime in English and Spanish. Together we will enjoy songs, rhymes, and stories.

Saturday is story time in Kensington Park. Bring a blanket to sit on and get ready for stories, songs, and bubbles! Recommended for ages 1-5. Older siblings are welcome to join in on the fun!

These Storytimes, good for kids ages 4 to 6, are fun, kinetic, and humorous experiences!  I make it a point not just to read books, but to perform them as well!

Join us every Saturday from 10am-noon for Lego and Rokenbok Club! Patrons will be able to build at their own pace.

We will provide a lego square to build on and patrons can continue to build on it week after week. 

No sewing experience needed! We'll guide you through essential stitches, patterns, and techniques, setting you up for a lifetime of sustainable clothing fixes and DIY creations. ✨

UCSD Sociology Professor Neil Gong presents his new book, Sons, Daughters, and Sidewalk Psychotics at a free, open to the public book launch at the San Diego Central Library @ Joan Λ Irwin Jacobs Common.
