Event Details

The first of its kind to be held at the Mira Mesa Branch Library, this traveling chess tournament began at the San Diego Central Library.  Downtown Chess, the premier casual library chess club in San Diego, paved the way for library chess to thrive in communities served by San Diego Public Library.

Come and see as players battle it out for top recognition.  Prizes awarded to the top 3 finishers.

Here are some details for the competition: There will be 7 rounds, each player will get 15 minutes in each of the rounds. The winners will be determined by the number of wins, in case of a tie, there will be a blitz tie-breaker. Players must commit to all 7 rounds which is expected to be 4-5 hours. There will be a break in between rounds.
