Event Details

Teens will learn design thinking & entrepreneurial skills to allow them to be Social Innovators- entrepreneurs dedicated to the most pressing problems facing us today. The theme for this Social Innovation Sprint is “Smart Cities.” Smart cities use sensors, technology, and data to sustainably improve people’s quality of life through efficient & streamlined services. Teens will hear directly from experts in the field & the challenges they face in tackling this problem. Students work in groups & pitch their ideas to a panel of judges! Includes visits from: UCSD Faculty, non-profits, entrepreneurs & more.

Participants must attend both workshops on Saturday, January 25th, 2020 & Saturday, February 1st from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Lunches & snacks will be provided.
