Teen-led program. Beginner friendly computer-aided design (CAD) projects such as keychains and simple geometric models. Geared toward middle and high school students. No 3D printing during program (3D printing during open 3D lab hours only).

Need a new apron or want to learn to make one? Clicbitz will show you the basic sewing skills needed for creating your own apron that you can use for future sewing projects. All sewing levels welcome! All supplies provided.

LEGO Free Play: Imagine and build with LEGO! Keep your engineering and problem-solving skills sharp using the library's LEGO bricks.

Give your child the thrill of making their very first video game!

Looking for something fun to do on a Monday afternoon? Stop by the Legler Benbough Teen IDEA Lab for Maker Mondays, happening every week from 2 to 7 PM.

Explore the basics of electrical circuits! Through hands-on activities using components such as batteries, wires, and LEDs, inquisitive participants will investigate current, voltage, resistance in closed circuits.

We are excited to offer 3D Printing in person! Stop by the La Jolla/Riford Library's IDEA Lab during open lab hours with your .STL file and staff will be happy to assist you.

Try your hand at Python Programming! Learn the basics of Python while working on a game that integrates math, art, and computer programming.

Calling all LEGO builders & Crafters! Are you our next LEGO Master?  Come & make a masterpiece then get creative with a fun craft. 

Science Club is for 3rd through 6th graders who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). Each week kids engage in a new and fun hands-on/minds-on activity exploring a wide range of subjects.

Kids can enjoy being creative by building with LEGO blocks and DUPLO bricks. It's a great opportunity for exploring with new ideas, as well as sharing concepts and strategies with other attendees.

Design, build, and compete with your own mini robots! Learn engineering skills and problem-solving strategies while embracing the creativity and teamwork found in innovation worldwide.

Come build your creations while making new friends!  All Legos will be supplied by the North University Community Branch Library.  Your creation may even be featured in our display case!

Bring your ideas to life at our Mobile Maker Lab in the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Library. Learn to use various programs and equipment  such as our 3D printer and die cut machine powered by Silhouette Studio.

Discover the Difference Between Science and the Paranormal

Girls Who Code Club is hosting a series of classes to learn coding. The series is five weeks long and meets on a weekly bases for one hour. They will use the program Python.

Making your own centerpiece is fun and surprisingly easy, and equally easy to maintain! These mini pumpkins adorned with succulents will make the perfect addition to your fall décor.
